In a significant development, the court in the Nuh district has decided to extend the police remand of the Congress MLA Mamman Khan by two more days as investigations deepen into the Sobha Yatra attack that unfolded in July. The force is leaving no stone unturned, thoroughly examining the Congress leader's digital footprint by confiscating and scrutinizing his mobile phone and laptop.

Sunday, September 17, marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing case, with the police registering three additional FIRs against Khan, who is pinpointed as a pivotal conspirator in the harrowing events of July 31st. These new developments emphasize the necessity for further interrogation, focusing on the specific details highlighted in FIRs number 137, 148, and 150.

Mamman Khan found himself under arrest on the night of September 14th, a development that quickly took the social media sphere by storm, especially after a photo surfaced showcasing him at Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. This has led the authorities to pursue potential leads on his meetings with other individuals implicated in the Nuh incident.

Providing legal insights, Haryana's Additional Advocate General, Deepak Sabharwal, divulged critical information that casts a shadow of doubt on Khan's statements. The authorities have assembled a solid case, fortified with call detail records, MLA's personal security officer's testimonies, and location data traced through phone towers, all standing in contradiction to Khan's assertions.

Further cementing the case are the freshly revealed communications between Khan and another suspect, Mohammad Taufiq. Already under custody, Taufiq is suspected of playing a substantial role in the orchestrated violence. These unveiled correspondences between the two further complicate the narrative, promising more revelations in the days to come.

As the noose tightens, with intensified investigations uncovering murky details, it remains to be seen what other secrets will be laid bare in this high-profile case that has gripped the nation's attention.

Congress MLA Mamman Khan found himself under arrest by the Haryana Police on the night of 14th September 2023, in Ferozepur Jhirka, Rajasthan. The arrest was initiated based on accusations surrounding his supposed involvement in orchestrating the unrest that swept through Nuh. DSP Satish Kumar validated the arrest, stating that Khan is due to make a court appearance shortly, scheduled for Friday.

Earlier in the week, precisely on Tuesday, 12th September, Khan had endeavored to stave off this looming arrest by presenting a petition to the high court, imploring them to direct the state government to establish a high-level Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter. However, as Thursday rolled around, the court deliberated on his plea but did not accede to his request.

The government's stand was elucidated on Thursday when it affirmed to the High Court that Khan's involvement in the incident was substantial, leading to his name being registered in one of the FIRs associated with the July 31st communal skirmish in Nuh. A concerted assessment of the gathered evidence had rendered Khan a prime suspect, despite his protests of being wrongfully accused and his claims of absence from Nuh on the day the turmoil ensued.

Backing the allegations against Khan, Haryana's Additional Advocate General, Deepak Sabharwal, brought to light substantial evidence, including call records and location data, which starkly contradicted Khan's assertions. Sabharwal assured the court of the impartial nature of the ongoing investigation, noting the arrest of 42 out of 52 accused individuals listed in the FIR, with one being on regular bail.

The intricacies of the case deepen, with Khan facing charges documented at the Nagina police station, centralizing on his alleged participation in the communal clash that rocked Nuh. The police investigation revealed significant leads, spotlighting communication traces between Khan and another primary suspect, Mohammad Taufiq, who is already under custody for his perceived role in the violent incident. Remarkably, Taufiq, apprehended on September 9, pinpointed Khan as a co-conspirator during interrogations, adding another layer to the mounting case against the Congress MLA. As the court navigates through this intricate web of accusations and evidence, the nation watches with bated breath, awaiting justice to prevail.

In the rapidly evolving scenario surrounding the violence that broke out in Nuh, the spotlight is firmly fixated on the alleged involvement of Congress MLA Mamman Khan. As revealed by Additional Advocate General Deepak Sabharwal, a meticulous scrutiny of the call records and cell tower locations pertaining to both Khan and the accused Taufiq uncovered telephonic conversations between them on the 29th and 30th of July, just days preceding the violent outbreak on the 31st.

The MLA found himself engulfed in deeper controversy, having ignored two summonses issued by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Initially beckoned on August 31, Khan abstained from appearing before the authorities, attributing his absence to health concerns. Despite a second notice served for a hearing on September 10, Khan remained elusive, failing to offer any prior intimation regarding his non-appearance.

Amidst these developments, Haryana's Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, took a resolute stance, affirming on September 13, 2023, that the government will not hesitate to enact strict measures against Khan if found culpable, irrespective of his location. This stern proclamation followed Khattar's visit to the home of the late VHP worker Abhishek, who succumbed to the violence in Nuh. Khattar assured the mourning family of decisive action against the instigators of the unrest. Furthermore, it was noted that Anil Vij had previously remarked on the spate of violent incidents coinciding with Khan's visits to several locations between July 28 and 30.

The unsettling events of July 31 witnessed a large group of rioters, predominantly from the Muslim community, launching an attack on Hindu devotees engaged in the ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra’ in the Mewat region of Haryana. This violent confrontation, leaving a minimum of six individuals dead, marks a dark day in the district's history.

The cataclysmic day in question saw the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal-organized 'Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra' descend into chaos, as clashes erupted between two factions in Mewat, a region predominantly inhabited by the Muslim community in Haryana. The violent encounter culminated in the incineration of vehicles and stone-pelting incidents, with a tragic tally of five fatalities marking the gruesome outcome.

As this harrowing chapter unfolds, with the undercurrents of religious tensions coming to the fore, the populace keenly anticipates the unveiling of truth and the assurance of justice for the victims.
